Since this was my first time in such an event, I did not exactly understandthe kind of music or rather performance to anticipate. Therefore, the concert was basically abrand-new experience for me. The concert was held in the Smalls Jazz Club, whose location is183 West 10th Street, In Greenwich-Village of New York City on the night of 13th of July, 2018from 7.00 to 10.00 pm. The club has greatly organized space and can be termed as intimate. Theclubs sightlines and acoustics are amazing. The venue was dry with little if any echo from theinstruments being played by the Jazz members. Therefore, the experience at the concert wasreally great and actually felt like I was watching from my best friends basement.The band instrumentation included a guitar, piano, drums, and the bass. The bands pianois the instrument that caught most of my attention, and it was played by a Los Angeles pianist,Victor Gould. Despite the fact that he experienced some difficulties when tuning the amplifier,the rhythm and melody that came from this instrument were just perfect.
