These meters include the Venturi meter,orifice meter, and the rotameter and turbine flow meter among others. Each of these metersworks specifically by altering certain physical properties of the fluid flowing in them andallowing measurements to be taken on this alteration. The objective of this laboratory experimentwas to investigate and compare the value for discharge coefficients for an orifice plate and aVenturi meter. The experiment also investigated the performance and accuracy of the variablearea meter.
