in at least TWO of the following situations:
Using rest room facilities
Selecting a seat at a table or counter where the person seems
to not know anyone already seated.
In an elevator
At a store counter ��� for example the deli counter at a
supermarket.
In a ticket line at a movie
Selecting a seat in a movie theater when the individual is
alone and does not know anyone already seated.
NOTE: You should observe in several different locations and
at several different times. Observations might be for 5 minutes or
20+ minutes depending on
the location.
Write a short paper (1-2 pages) describing the situation and
what you observed. Do you have any conclusions about why this is
the behavior? Did you notice any
differences among people of different ages, genders,
race/ethnic backgrounds, etc?
