Sorry for the lengthy details. I need this assignment by Wednesday Afternoon Dec 13th at 5pm EST. My topic is "Why do Universities require students to take general education courses" I do not understand why in the United States we are required to take education courses unlike other countries. This is how my paper should present details. I attached a sample paper.
For Research Project #3, you are to write an original paper on a
topic of your own choice that,
likeResearch Project #1, does one of the following:
a.
explores an issuefrom an original perspective
(does not just report)
b. presents an argument
That is, to clarify: for this paper to earn a successful grade, it will not be enough to simply present historical information, compile data on a topic, or otherwise just inform on a subject (versus argue).
Like with Project 1, choose a topic about which you care, in
which you are invested,
for which you can incorporate relevant personal
anecdote/experience as evidence, etc.
After having completed the necessary textbook reading, exercises in your textbook, reviewing of course lessons and materials, and participating in collaborative learning via the Discussions board, you were to have drafted, revised, and now ultimately submit a paper of at least 1500 words in length.
Unlike Research Project #1, for Research Project #3, to gain experience working with different research methods, you must now use academic sources in addition to web pages or your own primary research. In fact, most of the supporting evidence for this paper should come from books/database articles/or indexes. For the purposes of this paper, things like Google Scholar still count as a webpage. In other words - use the library. You can still conduct all of your research online without visiting the library in person and fulfill this requirement.
Your paper mustmake use of proper MLA formatting and documentation; papers submitted without accompanying Works Cited pages will automatically earn 0's.
Do notuse more than 5 sources altogether, and even though you are writing research papers, do not as a whole allow the research to make up more than 30% or so of your paper's content. For these papers, you are to rely mainly on your own thoughts, ideas, interpretations, etc. on your chosen topic to construct the argument, using the research to supportyour claims, but not to replace them.
In addition, you must make this paper multimodal by presenting all or part of your research as an infographic.
With this final submission, remember to also submit:
1. a Certificate of Authorship. One can be found at the end of our course syllabus. Papers submitted without a signed Certificate of Authorship will not be accepted for credit.
2. a Self-Reflection (see course materials for instructions). Papers submitted without a corresponding Self-Reflection will automatically lose a half-letter grade.
Please do not submit as multiple files (paper, Works Cited, CoA, Self-Reflection, etc.). All documents should be submitted as a single documented, properly formatted according to MLA rules, as a .docx, .doc, or .rtf file only.
